  • Lipotropic and Vitamin Injections
  • InBody 570 Analysis
  • Bio Wellness Screening
  • Micro Nutrient Testing

Feeling sluggish? Not getting the results you hoped for even though you are eating healthy and exercising? Maybe you want a custom nutrition plan based on your specific needs? No matter which of these applies to you, a micronutrient consultation and analysis could be the solution you’ve been waiting for.

A nutrient deficiency can aid in diagnosing underlying conditions that may be contributing to weight-related problems. Vitamin, mineral, and antioxidant deficiencies have also been shown to suppress the immune system, increasing the risk of serious diseases including cancer and diabetes. Micronutrient testing goes beyond the standard lab tests done by most primary care doctors. With one blood test, we can find out exactly what nutrients you need and those you should avoid.

Some of the most common micronutrient deficiencies include:

      Vitamins: Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin K, Biotin, Folate, Pantothenate
      Minerals: Calcium Magnesium, Zinc, Copper
      Amino Acids: Asparagine, Glutamine, Serine
Antioxidants: Alpha Lipoic Acid, Coenzye Q10, Cysteine, Glutathione, Selenium, Vitamin E
Carbohydrate Metabolism: Chromium, Fructose Sensitivity, Glucose-Insulin Metabolism
      Fatty Acids: Oleic Acid
      Metabolites: Choline, Inositol, Carnitine

Even if you eat a balanced diet, your body may not be absorbing essential micronutrients properly, but how do you know? Hormones and aging can drastically affect your micronutrient needs, too. If you feel like your metabolism is slow or if you never have enough energy to get through the day, there is probably something in your nutrient profile that needs to be addressed. Mood changes can also be related to a nutrient deficiency.

Unlike traditional blood, serum, hair, and urine tests, micronutrient testing looks at how your white blood cells respond to varied environments of over 32 vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants. The results provide useful information about your metabolism rate, health risks, and dietary needs. Based on these results, our providers can recommend dietary changes and micronutrient supplements just for you!

Micronutrient testing may be covered by insurance. Make an appointment at New Horizons Wellness Center & MediSpa by calling   (281) 419-5544. Find out how this test can help you today!
